Paul Dazet

Senior Pastor

Pastor Paul has a Bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Cincinnati, a Master’s degree in ministry from Golden State School of Theology, and is ordained in the Church of the Nazarene. He is the founder and lead consultant for Ignite Vision Coaching.

Paul and his wife Stacy have been married since 1992 and have three children: Rebecca (and Jacob), Jake, and Micah. Paul loves coffee, books, and conversations.

Paul describes himself as a lifelong learner and lover of books.

“I am in a relentless pursuit of Jesus, knowing Him in a deeper way; studying His amazing Truth, freeing myself of legalistic misconceptions, and understanding what it means to be a Christian in our current day.”

He has a deep passion for taking the church outside the walls of the church building.

“I emphasize that we are called to take God’s love to every nook and cranny of our world. The “church” is not a building but a living and active community of followers who are passionate about rescuing the world and joining God in making all things new. This requires us to step outside the “Christian Bubble” and engage the culture that God has put in front of us. God sent Jesus as a missionary and now God is sending us into the world as missionaries to pour our lives out for others.”

Mindy Smith

Director of Little Lambs Child Care Ministry and Sandy Hook Church Preschool

“Sandy Hook has been like a second family since the very first day I became employed. Church members have taken me and treated me like one of their own. And once I had children they included them in that family too.”

Since 1999, Mindy has overseen the daily operations of the day care and preschool. She manages the Little Lambs budget, communicates with parents and staff and handles all aspects of staff management.

Mindy and her fiance Scott love being the parents of sons Dawson, Landon, and Joel. Mindy spends most of her free time watching her sons play sports, reading books and relaxing by the pool with family and friends.

Judy Gilbert

Office Manager

“I love that Sandy Hook reaches out to the community. I also love how supportive the church members are of each other.”

Judy has been the Sandy Hook office manager since 2015. She is passionate about helping others and manages the daily “behind the scenes” operations of the church. She is also a support system to all of the staff at Sandy Hook.

Judy and her husband David live in Charlestown, Indiana. In their free time, they enjoy camping “RV style,” and doing outdoor activities. Judy loves spending time with friends and family and enjoys working with stained glass and mosaics in her spare time.
