Hands and Feet Ministry

In 2016, Sandy Hook partnered with Turning Point Domestic Violence Services to create a ministry called Hands and Feet.

This ministry was developed out of a housing need for Columbus families who had been in domestic violence situations. After spending time in the emergency shelter, many families had no belongings and no safe home to go back to.

Through the Hands and Feet ministry, Sandy Hook Church members can now pray specifically for families, provide food and fellowship, help participants find shelter and fill their home with essential household items.

How to Get Involved

  1. Volunteer to help deliver household items to families and pick up donations.
  2. Sign up to provide fellowship and food to the family during the move.
  3. Promote the program at your work, with neighbors, schools, etc. The email for furniture donations is sandyhookoutreach@gmail.com.
